Internet "Explorer"...

Why would you actually try and want to install IE? It's fucking useless. Smiley

Get yourself Iron (Chrome but better), Safari or Opera innit. They're all better, quicker and just generally designed to browse, not randomly interpret code and fuck it up.

Iron
Opera
Safari

Edit: Or Firefox of course, which despite being slower than the ones above, is my browser of choice for it's fantasticalness.

Go to the start button and click on run (or search and click on it if running vista).

Type the following into the run box:

iexplore.exe

Then click enter. Confirm if IE starts or fails to do so.

I'd download from http://www.microsoft.com/nz/windows/internet-explorer/default.aspx

and reinstall. .Old files/folders are from when you customise a vista install.

I downloaded google chrome and quite liked it.

Until I realised that it was awkward working without a google toolbar, you'd have thought that google would make it possible to use their own product.

Opera is a pretty good browser, and it also has face gestures if you've got a webcam!

Chrome is great, fast as fuck and I never use toolbars so its not a problem for me, Chrome is in the real world more than twice the speed of Firefox and IE and theres no memory leakage in Flash games and apps.

Nice.

Oh there is when you start doing stupid stuff like have 5 or 6 tabs open each running Flash applications.
