Been given the number 5 shirt. How odd.

I am pleased with this signing, he obviously has some talent, lets hope he can show it with us.

If he can do the same as the Chief did with us when he signed from Brizzle Shitty then I will be happy as hes a very similar type of player and signing for us at almost exactly the same age.

He could be a very astute signing. I have faith in Wilson (you only have to look at who he's brought in thus far) and as has already been mentioned, the competition for places can only be a good thing.

should the game go on: austin hasnt trained all week, presumably injured?

would it be likely that paynter plays with ward upfront or pericard? surely they are too similar to have it any other way.

Tbh the only time i've ever seen him was at the Carlisle game and as i said he didn't stand out really, but those two goals are crackers, bit more excited now.

Seems the transfer was done fairly quickly, which is a good sign that he wants to come here.

Motivation will be the key with this player. Hopefully we can show him he has taken a step up from Carlisle and that were a club worth playing for.

Delighted with this. Been a fan of his since he was at Juve.

Its been a while since we have 'swooped' for a player....rather than piss about til the last minute.

Hope hes a good signing. It can only go two ways with strikers..

Wish Revell all the best at Wycombe too...never forget that second goal at Brentford!!

Pompey fans sits next to me and says it could be an awesome signing. He was disappointed Pericard never went on to fulfil his potential with them. He recalls him skinning Gary Neville in an FA Cup game against United. Fingers crossed he's a good'un. For now, I'd stick with BP and CA. Any dip in form and in he goes...
