that really isn't much of a denial. 'nothing is sorted' sounds much more like something is happening but not complete - yet.

As Gazza said earlier, its a shame its ended this way for him.

I think he has been a good servant to the club and has been a very good player. He played a huge part in getting us out of L2 at the first time of asking.

He then did a very good (and seemingly forgotton) job in midfield in our first season back. Malpas decided he was a striker again and its all been downhill since. Huge mistake by Malpas and I think we missed Peacock in the middle last season and it wasnt untill OTJ came in that we seemed sorted.

I know it means nothing but he is a really ace bloke with a very infectious personality.

I do however, think his playing days are over - the last injury was one too many and if he hadnt had the back problems he'd probably still do a job for us. He also seemed to give a shit and always gave 100% which not every one does.

I think he'll make a good coach some day - maybe here with Wilson.

When you think of some of the utter, utter, utter fucking rubbish we've had over the last 5 years Peacock is certainly one of the better players we've had.

....and lastly as someone mentioned him, Migz was never injury prone - utter myth.

He and Iffy also had a falling out.

I also never claimed he wasnt injured - just he wasnt injury prone, like say Barry Corr was.

Think he only missed a few games when Iffy was in charge, seem to remember he played every game once back from injury proper.

The season before that he was out for ages though.

I'll double check.

I think he played every game in his first season, alot in his 2nd, not alot in his third and a decent amount in his 4th. I think he averaged 37 games a season.

2002/03 - 43(+2)
2003/04 - 37(+2)
2004/05 - 19(+5)
2005/06 - 23(+5)

Total - 122(+14)

That averages out at 30.5(+3.5) per season. 34 games, close ish.

Compare that to a real injury prone player Barry Corr.

12(+22) in his two full seasons here - 6(+12) per season. Not include his 8 game loan spell.

Eek

Fucking hell. If you're right or even within 10% of that figure i'll be genuinely shocked. I was thinking more like 20 or so a season.  Embarrassed
