From what I remember he was doing well at Town, then got a transfer to Wolves, dunno what brought it on but I've been meaning to look him up for a few days now in between bouts of forgetfulness

Bit of a shame

Broke his leg twice and retired. Top lad George and could run a bit.

Remember his debut v Boro..George scored early, great goal....was cruising the match and top of the lge...then Frazer had a moment chucked the ball straight to Merson who scored from about 35 yards.....Emerson grabbed a winner i think.....he was one of my all time favourites, just liked his attacking play.

That's funny I was at that game, found the ticket stub in my old wallet along with a few moths. Was 22nd November 1997, I was in the Arkell's Row K Seat 140 all for the nice price of £14.50. And I can't remember a thing.
While we are on strikers, I was also at a game against Tranmere when the legend that was John Aldridge played his last league game

Yeah I remember that game too.
My brother had a Slovakian au pair who we took to the game because one of her (Slovakian) friends was playing for Boro. Can't remember who it was though.

That was also david thompsons first game for us?

he was awesome but somehow made our team worse and it was all downhill.
