What is the make and model of your wireless dongle and are you running Windows 7, Vista, XP or another operating system?

Right, assuming you haven't updated Vista in the past week, it's probably due to some sort of interference.

You might have better success at changing the wireless channel in the home hub from automatic to a number. It could be trial and error to get a good connection though, but I would start with channel 11 (there are 11 channels so work your way down). Chances are, someone in your block of flats is causing the interference.

How to do this

Give it a go but the latest update may be the issue. I will investigate.

Good chance its caused by someone else's WiFi. I've got a little utility running on the dashboard on my Mac which shows all the WiFi networks within range, so its nice and easy to see if anyone else nearby is using the same channel. I'm sure there is something similar for Windows, well worth installing one to see what is going on.
