Wouldn't argue with any of that. Be good to see the lad Henshall

Will Henshall not be on England duty around the two cup games?

England Under 16s play their second victory shield game on the 5th.

So I guess not.

Even if there was a clash, if there was a realistic chance of making his first team debut, you'd hope England Yoof would release him; equally if there was no chance of him actually playing, you'd hope we'd make that clear to him so he could go play for his country without a dilemma

Austen looked so much more hungry when he came on, what a month for the lad, the wessex sailing league, to full professional debut at carrow road in front of 25 thousand with 1000 swindon fans singing his name. The bloke must be on cloud 9.

He will be given time as I feel there is a lot of good will flowing his way, i reckon he will be on the bench against tranmere and start against Norwich and woking, i also reckon henshall will be on the bench for the 2 cup ties.

He's already played in the FA Cup for Poole, so could very well be cup tied for the Woking game, unless of course the rules are different bearing in mind how far down the pyramid he came from

From what I hear Charlie didn't look out of his depth either so perhaps League One is not as far removed from the Wessex Sailing League as you might think
If the kid Henshall is as good as some clubs seem to think why not get him starting? Oh no, you don't win anything with kids, tho the odd game might not go amiss

I asked wilson about henshall last week, he says he is not physically ready yet for league football, the kid is just 15, dont kid yourself about the dinghy league.

Wilson having a little pop at Macca here?

“We are not really testing their back four enough, and we aren’t getting the balls into areas where we can score.

“We are getting to great areas and then refusing to cross. We want to do a little pirouette or dance over ball, and that doesn’t help the strikers

The most creative and skilful players are always the first to get it when results go against you-its the English way.

It is obviously disappointing that our unbeaten run has ended so abruptly

So says Gordon Greer in his Captains blog.Has anyone heard of an unbeaten run ending gradually?

it doesn't help macnamee due to the fact he is completely inefective off the ball.
if we are up against it, he is a complete waste of space

he is a good player and can be a potent weapon, but too often he has no impact.he aint gonna win anything in the air and is not going to have any effect in defensive duties.
if we are in control and taking the game to teams then he's worth playing.the current sit bcak defensive approach means he's wasted in the side.

I always thought that the master plan of signing Charlie Mulgrew was all about Macca.  Sort out left back, and Macca will be sorted.
