Bit harsh on Fanny Jeffers. He is England Under 21s leading goal scorer of all time.

some of those are a bit harsh, Scott Carson, Zat Knight and even Downing - at the time they were playing well in the premiership and deserved a call up. OK they may have been 5th or 6th choice due to injury, but they still deserved a go. Knight will be a squad regular before too long, and Carson at least got McLaren the sack !

Really? How many centre backs would need long term injuries for this to happen? Or are you expecting and sudden dramatic improvement from a 29 year old? Downing is harsh though. |
