It looks like Barnes is working his magic again. A weird appointment, particularly with a thick as shit assistant.

Good assessment. Tranmere deserve everything they get, especially after sacking Ronnie Moore for 'poor attendances' despite being less than 10 minutes away from the play-offs last season.

Who'd have though appointing Barnes could go badly wrong. Oh.
(watch them go unbeaten until the end of the season now).

When Barnes was appointed there was an interview with him where he was saying he'd struggled to make it as a manager because he was black, and people assumed blacks don't have the necessary intelligence. He's doing a good job of proving himself wrong, and showing it's just because he's crap.

So what's Pardew's excuse then? Txted my Saints-supporting mate (who was happily predicting they'd be in double figures positive points by mid-Sept) earlier to say "At this rate you should be back in the black by Christmas"

Based on our game against Soton even if they didn't have -10, I'd fancy them to go down. They were complete and utter shit and 1-0 flattered them. With Barnes at Tranmere thats 2 relegation places settled. Stockport will probably take a 3rd and I don't fancy Yeovil much.

Been saying it for years. He was even shit at Reading. For fucks sake, they had a team worth millions, they were paying 5,000 a week for their players. We turned up under Roy Evans with a team of trialists and non league players and played them off the park, 3-1. Barnes signed some good players in the summer as well. But fact is, he hasnt got a clue! There are some good managers in league 1, but these arent two of them.

Think you might be thinking of Mark Wright (allegedly) when manager of Chester, although I don't think he got the sack for it. Which as he obviously would never do such a disgraceful thing is wholly understandable

I thought Wright got the sack from Chester because he wanted death to all blacks?

Yeah, which is why I said any alleged shenanigans in the sack was not why he got the sack

Didn't an ex-Swindon player get transferred early in his career (before joining Swindon) for shagging the chairman's daughter?
