When we were at the ground this morning. There were a fans queuing up at the Townend ticket area. Obviously it was Southampton fans trying to get tickets, but didn't notice you got to actually go in the ticket office.
I guessing home end will have at least 500-600 away fans dotted around.

Great. Well as long as they keep themselves to themselves I don't mind anyway. Hopefully we'll get a few more Town fans in as Saturday's attendance was shocking.

No doubt that Lambert will score against us tonight ! , but i also predict that we will be off the mark too ! . Think it will be a hard earned 1-1 draw .

If you compare Saturday to the rest of the league, it wasn't too bad at all. I expected a lot less, and fully expect  < 6000 crowds to be the norm this season.

At Swindon or in League One in general? Finances are getting ever tighter for many so I agree that attemdances might slump - but personally I'll be disappointed if we can't keep an average of atleast 6,500. Last season we had 7,000+ for most games didn't we?

Should be a good crowd tonight?  It's my mates 30th birthday tonight, so he sent around an email inviting mates along tonight and 9 people signed up as they were keen to see Southampton.

Who are you, why are you acting like such a cock and what do you have against R4E.

Or are your spacey or somebody on a wind up?

At Swindon...we had 10 sub 7000 gates last season, games like tonight especially early season, will get a crowd in, because of the travelling support, but with little prospect of value for money this season, it's inevitable that gates will tail off.

The gates for the big games, of which there are a few this season should keep the average up, but I can't see too many turning out for run of the mill stuff like HPool Carlisle Stockport etc.

No I don't think we did. Think it was just under 7000 but as a mean average we were over 7000 due to a few high gates like Leeds and Leicester. Our average should be boosted even more this year with Saints, Norwich etc...
