he'll be sacked by november

The great thing about being a manager, is that even if you are sacked then you get your contract paid up in full...get sacked 2 or 3 times quite rapidly from a Prem/CCC side, like a Pardew or Dowie and you're pretty much set up.  After a break of doing a bit of media work, then there's bound to be at least an assistant job or similar, because it's a bit of an old boys network.

So you can be a bit average like Pardew and still do very nicely thank you.

i've often thought how good it would be if you applied the same logic to normal employment, get a job, they sign you to a 3 year contract, muck around get fired and get contract paid up..... nice.

If you're like a Sturrock, then you can buy a house in the places you manage, and build up a nice little investment portfolio.  A good trick is to get to manage the Green Army, then you can have a holiday or retirement place in Devon or Cornwall...a la Warnock.

Bormuff, Soton or Pompey is good for something pleasant on the South Coast a la Redknapp.

Some Managers will be honest and admit they were just outclassed on the night,

Pardew's got a big job on his hands, getting Soton up this year.

Exactly.  With 7% of the season already gone, they have made precisely zero progress in closing the gap between themselves and 23rd place.

Pardew is hardly going to admit that they were trash and he got the timing of the subs wrong is he? Come on!!

The new Saints owner was there with the full Southampton Board so Pardew has to go on the offensive to keep his job. As has been said before, the number of people reading Southampton press reports and the news 'down the pub' will far outway the number of Saints supporters their lastnight. I too would have been supprised by any other kind of message from Pardew.

There's a difference though, in trying to diplomatically make the best of a shit result, verses talking complete bollocks.

I would imagine those 'down the pub' will know those that went and will get the different (true) version, as will those who read the forums.
