I don't know what's up with me. I just can't be assed with football at the moment. We have a decent manager and, IMHO, making the correct type of signings.

But today I  went to the Mela instead of football. And Monday I couldn't be bothered to go to Hungerford.

My football mojo has dissapeared. Hope it comes back soon.

Lack of strikers signed I'd say....the team that started today had one player Douglas different to what we had last season -Cox. Doesn't exactly get the juices running for a friendly does it?

I think you are right Reg. When I read we had a former Cameroon U21 on trial I felt like going. Then I read he a) wasn't a garden gnome and b) released by Crawley I went back to the Mela plan.

Even so, it's not like me. I think it's also because I'm missing our first 3 games too. So clearly Pikeys, Southampton and Oldham (?) are our proper pre season friendlies to me, and I'll take interest then.

I didn't realise there was a game until after I'd decided to go to the Mela.

This season feels like it'll be a duty.

Fuckin hell Cardiff fans are animals. Kicked off at the Sir Dan before the game and was kicking off near Fleming Way bus station when we were waiting for the bus, 3 riot vans arrived and surrounded a group surging forward.

Just passed a group of about ten of them at the train station, escorted by about ten coppers.

Decent game today. Smith was faultless. Lescinel played well, as did Macklin and McNamee. The trialist didn't get much time on the ball but put himself about a bit so is worth another look.

Smith's clearly lost weight because i wondered whether it was him, what with a slimmer look, a few throws and shouting at the defence alot. Must be the new GK coach. He looked really good and really confident. Liked Lecsinel, can't ever really recall watching him play if i'm honest.

Macklin looked class, as did McNamee. To be fair there was no one i thought was poor, but didn't notice Easton doing anything of note. My vote is him for scapegoat this season now Pook's gone and many are considering jp better than they realised.

Agree about Easton. I was going to say the same thing but couldn't actually remember if he was playing!

Summed up my feelings perfectly Bazza

I also thought that it took a while for Morrison to look composed, very jittery for the first 20-30 IMO
