Not sure about a bad week, I have had a bad last 30 minutes on account of dropping my crackers on the floor - what am I going to eat my cheese with now?
I was only joking (and I thought the quote was pretty funny), to make the point that you can't believe everything a player says when he signs on and especially that he is never going to say anything bad and immediately alienate the fans.
You're right he's the best signing we've made in a long time (since Cox I'd say) and I'm over the moon about it. I reckon the squad is shaping up nicely and can't wait for the season to start as I reckon we'll be challenging for the title. But then I always think that so I wouldn't read too much in to it.
Fair play johny....enjoy your crackers...personaly i didnt think Cox was a great signing at the time..a good one but didnt think he would be as prolific as he did.

Going completely off topic, but from that page there was a link to this story. http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/golf/8144109.stmIt's basically saying how Steve Surry (golfer) has qualified for the open. He's pretty local, but he's one of those golfers that if he gets a break, he'll be world class in my opinion. You heard it here first! Back on topic, having signed Douglas, can we not find any reasons yet to hate him before he kicks a ball please?

So perhaps that's a good starting point?

Does bath born count as local? Im fairly sure should he do any sort of success he'll jump aboard the bristol bandwagon.
And stop derailing the thread, can we get back to talking about mediocre league one midfielders that we have signed

Honestly, some people just don't bother reading posts properly do they? I no longer have any crackers on account of dropping them on the floor. All I have now is cheese.

What are the Leeds forums saying? They rubbished the possibility of Douglas joining our beloved little club.
Try this for size (what Ralph said really).. http://www.waccoe.com/index.php?showtopic=153152I hate those fuckers..they have a serious superiority complex going on there. I so want us to do the double over them this season..according to them we shouldn't even be stepping on the same pitch as them..ass holes

Because had we been friendly and loving towards Swindon, you'd have happily accepted a point? Anyway, only back as a rumour is coming about on Alan Sheehan joining your lot now. I thought it'd be a little unusual to see three players make the swap from Leeds to Swindon, although you can never know in football. Are Swindon in need of a left back at all?

Yes we are Rosie.
Can I just ask, why do alot of your fans have this superiority complex? Some of the comments on your forums do make me laugh.
"How can a little club like Swindon afford him"
''He lacks ambition going to Swindon"

Like i said a few days ago, he is L1 standard. And he'll probably be playing L2 football next year.
Just goes to show how out of touch our fans are with regards to this current playing squad. and that shows how out of touch you are with the league you will still be in this time next year, excuse time is over, you follow a League 1 club which is now here solely on merit not some example set by the FL...

I want us to the double over every team of course but particularly Leeds. I hate this 'Big Club' attitude that Leeds fans have that they are way too good for L1 and we shouldn't really be brething the same air as them - it's not just Leeds in fairness. It's why I just love it when any 'Big Club' gets relegated, such as Newcastle. The league table does not lie and you're only as good as your league position. As far as full backs go, yes we are very lacking in full backs having released (in my opinion) our first choice right and left backs this summer.
