Just watching a programme on BBC4 about the moon, and reminds me of when I was young and had the stereotypical ambition of wanting to be an astronaut.  I am still fixated by the idea of looking back on the earth from space, and walking on the moon.

Its got me wondering what other people wanted to do when they were young?  My superior half is in the enviable position of doing exactly what she always wanted to do for a living.  Anyone else this lucky?

No. Want to make music. Well I do but not a large recognised scale. I'm too old to be "young" now though. All that went out the window 4 years ago. Wish I could turn the clock back and be 16 again tbh.

When i was really young it was a spaceman or a doctor, but i think one fixation came from watching space 1999 and the other from playing doctors and nurses.

But the older i got i wanted to be a paramedic, but sometimes we get lost along the way and choose a different path.

I always used to want to be a jockey as my grampy used to always take me in the bookies!

He used to leave me outside in my pram till my mum drove by and saw me abandoned so from that day on he always took me in!

I always wanted to be a steam train driver when I was little. I think every male has wanted to be a train driver at some point in the childhood, but I was properly obsessed for a long time.

Surprisingly, I'm not a steam train driver.

I wanted to be a medic in the RAF.  I'm not a medic and I'm not in the RAF.
