we need at least 4 more decent players.not ones we hope might come to something.ones that are ghood enough and ready to make an impact in league 1.if not our season wont be much different to the last one.

Freddy eastwood Hes still got 3 years left on his contract at Coventry and hes been shit ever since he left Southend just 7 goals in 70 games even Fleetwood has a better strike rate in the last 2 seasons with 5 goals from 25 games  . |

All good posts chaps...Fleetwood no for me..we got a few bob now so lets get someone who has done it already...i would like Reuben Reid here..young,west country lad who is PROVEN goalscorer....IF not i would rather get a season long loan player from a higher level.

Remember when parkin left for ipswich king said he would have to bring in 2 strikers to make up for his loss of goals and we got thorpe and cuerton what a combination that was lets hope that doesn't happen again.

I understand Derby are planning a bid for Reid, in excess of £250k. Might be worth a gamble, but again every signing is really a gamble, no one knows if any new signing....experienced or not...proven goalscorer at this level or above or lower will be good enough. We just hope that our signings are. *edit* Interesting post on Rotherham forum..... add extra 100k onto it (making £350k), and u can have him, he lazy, wont run for the ball untill it comes to him, wont pass, has an eye for goal though, but thats what counts, people wouldnt be looking at him if it wasnt for the 10 goals in march |

I can't comment personally though as I have never seen him play.
Doncaster are looking at him as well apparently, I guess if we were interested then it would be if he wishes to up sticks and move south again as if he chose Derby or Donny he would not need to.

No but Church would get a game here, improve and go back in better shape than when he left Reading... a 6 month loan deal would be good if we could get it, gives us time to buck up our ideas, see who is doing the business etc elsewhere... |
