I'd of given him a pre season with us.
And that's probably why I'm not involved in football.
He showed enough in 45 at orient to suggest he is pretty good.

Yeah - don’t think it would have hurt.
I’d have said the same about Clayton & Kanu as well.
…I mean there is a chance we did offer them the chance and they decided that it was Swindon that was cursed rather than their own bodies - we will see…

Clayton looked very good next to macdonald in that unbeaten run under lindsay.

There was a point where Clayton looked like the prized sellable asset we would have made they big (ish) money on… …I’ve said before - be very interesting to see where he goes next in his career.

I realise we get through a lot of players, but the number of sides becoming STFC Alumni FC is getting a bit silly now, we already have Crawley, Gillingham and Colchester... Stevenage already have five ex Town.

Pity he didn’t come back here !!, maybe working his way down the leagues, would be a cracking signing but couldn’t see us affording his wages.

He's signing for a Premier League club, I imagine his wages are larger than our wage *budget*

Oh, really? Wow, never saw that one coming. Southampton, Bournemouth, Portsmouth? Nope. Still the DNA will be pleased to see him when he’s back at Uni.

I think he wanted to finish his career where he started. I wouldnt be surprised if the Bournemouth deal was leaked to get Pompey to get a shimmy on
