The problem with Barry is that if he did start to show his brilliance, how long would it take for Villa to notice we had served our purpose and recall him?, which is exactly what happened last season, the Man City game cost us more than just a place in the next round of the FAC, we may have been promoted comfortably had we not drawn attention to the loanees we were culturing.

typically Barry's worst two games after the initial period were the playoffs.
when he clicked, he was good. when he didn't, pointless.
that's what you'd expect though, inconsistency.
definitely have him back for another season. I think he needs it too

I really think that is where Garner fell short. I think the 2 games we could have done with Gladwin or someone with a bit more experience and had Barry coming off the bench if we needed to chase. I personally thought we seen enough to suggest he will do well. Even more so really as the Ipswich loan could have killed him

KKH was recalled before the City game if that makes you feel any better

Also the 2 games where we desperately needed someone up front who wasn’t Josh Davison. Nothing new though - we all it was the depth that cost us last season. Obvious plans in place to prevent that from happening again…

He did, but the decision to recall him had already been made.

Wonder how he's progressed. Obviously ending at Crew wasn't to plan, but it was really hard to judge him given the circumstances. Definitely flattered to deceive though.

Chelsea - Abroad for a bit - Cheltenham - Crewe in the basement division. Not sure he has on that evidence

Zero memory of him. Seems to happen a lot of of the Power era seeing as I wasn't attending. Feels like it was a fever dream.

He appeared to be supremely talented, lots of flicks and tricks but in a season where we were really struggling he definitely wasn't what was required. He might turn his career around at Crewe, they tend to play decent attacking football so it could be a good match.

A notable product of the Chelsea Youth ethos- lots of promising young players snapped up by Chelsea and having their hopes and dreams dashed by not making it as a star.

I'm not surprised that Dabo has gone on to have a better career than Colkett that's for sure.

Spot on. Sheikh Mohammed Fantaky Dabo had something about him. Wasn't there a third one?
