Watched the Man U Arse game last night and it was frankly terrible, especially when compared with the Merseyside Derby the night before.

Weirdly I enjoyed the game last night. Yes the quality wasn't great, in fact I thought Arsenal were probably the better side but as a neutral I thought it was an entertaining match.

What did you make of the first Arsenal goal? I personally thought that it was the right thing to do. Yes De Gea was unlucky but it was Fred that trod on his foot (not sure if he thought it was an Arsenal player and would have got a free kick) so to go and lie down on the floor seemed a bit naive of him.

Entirely the right thing to do, especially when De Gea got up and with extremely minimal 'treatment' seemed absolutely fine, its up there with players picking the ball up to force a decision in the pissing me off stakes.

I recall us conceding a goals years back when Digby had been very obviously clattered, so not sure where this rule came in that if a keeper is down (unless its a head injury obviously) the game must be stopped?

We benefitted from a prone keeper in this game I remember.

Worth watching the full 5 minutes just for the defensive masterclass that day.

Good grief we looked abysmal in that highlights package. I know it could have been serious but I had to laugh at Leroy Rosenior's 'cinderella' comment with the keeper having a nap!

DJ appears to be playing right wing back for Charlton.  No wonder they are lower mid table if that is the kind of decision making at play.

Fucking Gordon Watson! Didn't he clatter one of keepers in the home game too? I think maybe one loan keeper had to replace another. He might have done something against us for Southampton in the cup in 96 too, but it may just be that he was a villain in my mind by then.

Not quite in the realm of John McGinley, but Watson can do one too.

My cousins follows Plymouth and she said when they played Charlton at the Valley 2 weeks ago he was definately out and out winger and he ran the game, best player on the pitch she and her hubby thought.

Similar story but compare how long Digby was down to De Gea for Arsenal's opening goal earlier in the week.
