Interesting it doesn't list Swindon as a former club - But does mention some non-league ones!

Former Academy player Jude Soonsup-Bell who Chelsea gave a scholar's contract in the summer has now been upgraded to a pro deal. Highly regarded there by all accounts.

Hopefully even though he was only 13 when he left us there are some academy development fees coming our way from this, or certainly when he gets games under his belt Smiley

TBF he was a decent box to box midfielder, not a bad player but he fell out of favour with Wellens early doors. I liked his energy and he wasn't bad passer either. I hear he was not a great trainer which was why Wellens got rid of him.

I didn't think Martin Smith was horrendous. Had a decent long range passing ability. Loved a shot as well, although they were never great. Good luck to him!

I don't as much as I thought I would. I can see the obvious reason why though. Although personally what is more frustrating is that this league isn't that difficult/strong/hard. With the players in this squad, all played correctly etc, there should be enough to survive, maybe even mid table.

I think we're going to still be having this conversation in late April/May. Probably shouldn't have got relegated (if it happens) but a manager jumping ship when he knew he might not actually have the tools to believe his own claims of ability, to one who is devoid of more or less any at all.

I've always been torn regarding the curtailing/cancelling of a season. Always think/feel that this team, with the new additions can fight it's way out of this paper bag but if you are being continually led into paper bag after paper bag, then eventually it's like asking a man with no arms to tear through a Yellow Pages. It's not that the effort isn't there, just the belief of even making a dent becomes vacant and so people start to give up. My own post mirrors this, Caddy's interview mirrors this. Town are in a rut but the manager seems to feel quite comfortable bashing out the same, notionable interview to the point where he is laughing in some kind of delirium soup. "We played really well"...again and again. Maybe parts of that are slightly true...but he's failing to see that it isn't producing positive results and that I'm afraid is a dangerous formula.

What was it about "The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results."

It wasn't Einstein what said it but it seems to ring true at present.

The fact one of the clues was him seeing the hand of God up close means it's one of the 11 England players in the field that day. Hoddle is the only one with a swindon link.

Also what has my life, your life and this forum come to. Discussing the masked singer. Wild times.
