Woolery to Tranmere is confirmed
Good luck to him, would have liked him to stay but he has to go somewhere to protect his financial future.

Sort of ex if you count training with us ooop north in pre-season - Didn't realise that 'veteran goalkeeper' Joe Murphy signed for Tranmere too.

A frustrating player at times, but what he did contribute is often not appreciated enough. Would have been a great impact sub to have on the bench, or even a starter if/when his pace and power were needed.

He was a worker and you can't ask for much more than that. I wish him all the best.

yeah, good luck to him.

didn't really hit the highs consistently enough. New challenge may be just what he needs.

we'll miss his running, strength and ability in the air. His goals were useful but not exactly flowing

Good luck to him, was a trier if nothing else.  Given we would have many a debate about whether he was good enough for a starting slot a league below where we are now, I doubt he'd have been well received at this level.  Think he'll bob around clubs at League Two level unless he can get a single big season where he scores a hat full and someone higher up takes a punt on him.

Saw his first game against Exeter and thought, holy shit we've got one here.  He's going to rip this league apart.  As is my judgement of players it was wrong.  Thomas Dossevi also proved not to be the lower league Thierry Henry.  Good luck to him.

Should has posted this a couple of days ago - last season’s loanee Daniel Ballard played for N Ireland in their heavy defeat at the hands of Norway on Monday evening.

Apparently Anderson was fucking crap today too.
They’re already muttering about Yates as well.

Really want to turn them over Saturday.

Woolery plus points.
1. Hes a trier
2. Hes fast
3. Hes strong
4. He can take a decent long throw
5. He isnt bad in the air
6. On his good days looks like he will bag a hatfull

The bad
1. He can't cross very well despite getting many assists last season
2. He can't shoot straight if his life depended on it
3. He can be greedy
4. His decision making under pressure is poor.
5. His pace means he often runs past defenders only to not catch the ball he has knocked past them
6. Has only 2 or 3 really good games a season
7. He doesn't really know his best position but I am inclined to think hes way better as a winger than a striker

I hope he kicks on at Tranmere but also hope the fans give him some time and don't get on his back too quickly.

I’m sure I read he’s been training with Wigan, but I may have just made that up.

There was a photo of somebody who looked just like him playing training with Wigan

Would have liked Woolery to stay but wish him well.
Hope that the strength & pace option will be covered and even better if an upgrade.

My view on Woolery was as inconsistent as some of the performances.
Ranging from “we missed him” when he didn’t play to “he'll need to reinvent himself as a right back or central defender if he wants to stay in league football” when he did  play.

From the Shaun Hoggetts enquiries,it seemed like RW was hoping to use him as a rotational/impact sub.

Don't know if it's all about money - imagine he wants more games and a bigger role. An ambitious L2 club is a good move.
