To be fair Rich, Ferry has been doing OpenGoal a while now. Think you'll be alright, avec or sans an LMc interview  Wink

Yes. Simon was a big help in 2018 when we were both struggling to get guests on our respective pods.

He's done two episodes and a live show for me. His generosity is often hidden behind the bravado.

Without a doubt. Only met him briefly a few times but he's always seemingly been/stayed in tune with the fans. Just a normal bloke who got to play football as a pro. Sound bloke.

Mark Robinson, former fullback of this parish, recently brought an injured hedgehog into the Oak and Furrows wildlife rescue centre where my ex missis works.

Apparently he now does something in the building trade.

Good article on Louis Thompson on the Athletic. Didn't realize he had had it so bad with injuries.

Is he still our second record signing in terms of fee?

Yeah I think so after Joey Bumchum at £800k and Robbo was @ £600k, Jan Age was £500k.

Dunno how accurate, but found a list here...

Listening to a pod this morning with a Rangers Academy coach, and it randomly turns out he's on the same UEFA Pro course as Danny Invincibile, formerly of this parish and last seen playing in Flasheart's neck of the woods. Coming soon to a vacant managerial post .... ?

I've seen on facebook a post about Chic Bates. There's a story in this weeks non-league paper about a player called Gary Hackett who played for Chic when he managed at Shrewsbury.

Sadly, he says Chic now has dementia and Alzheimers.

Thats so sad to hear, very under rated player with his huge barrel chest and never pulled out for a tackle or header in or around the box. Very good big man up top but not really a target man as such.

Did a good job as assistant to Lou and Ossie as well. Chico was a good man off the pitch too, always had time for fans.
