Well he did mean it!

Some great goals here, but Dave Mitchell’s is a superb team goal

Set in motion by Lord Lucan giving the ball away.  Smiley

I try and forget Mr Grimsdale. What was it we paid for him? £375,000?

The Washbag summed him up perfectly

‘Even within the dismal shower of Swindon’s former left-backs Jason Drysdale stands out. Squeezed between the likes of Hall, Elkins, Casal, Rose and Beswetherwick his name still seems to bob up and down – a floater in a sea of crap, a warning beacon of badness. The Shitting Forecast, if you will.’

Talking of team goals, I love the one-touch slide-rule angles @16:15 . Of course the Gurney free-kick @6:20 wasn't bad.
Pity about the end.

Steve cowe and Chris hay scored beauties at home to Bradford and Norwich respectively circa '98.

The season we had a blistering start,  i think the cowe goal vs bradford actually put us top of what is now the championship before an alarming slide saw us just about safe.

Walters’ wind assisted goal v WBA, Calderwood’s half way line effort, and Paul Evans’ 40 yarder must be up there. As well as the Cox volleys.
