In the lunchtime game, Martin Smith and Adam Rooney starting for Salford; Scott Cuthbert and Dean Parrett for Stevenage.

Thought Smith had "something" in the few times I saw him play for Town.  Surprising that he's in the starting line-up for moneybags Salford but good luck to him.

I liked Smith too, had a good engine and a box to box midfielder who definately had something there.

Could have offered us something but obviously him and Wellens didn't see eye to eye.

Not 1 ex Town player managed to score in the Football League today, only John Goddard managed to score for Ebbsfleet in the Conference today.

That's got to be a record surely? Fortunately two current Town players managed to score!

I missed Norris scoring the BBC reported it earlier as someone else, so there was actually 1 ex Town player scorer in the Football League, that is quite rare.

Don't really count National League or lower.

So 1 in the league League and 2 National League level scorers, a barren weekend for ex town players.

If Phil had hung around til the new year at the CG, he could have done Holi by going to Cheney Manor....

https://www.swindonadvertiser.co.uk/news/17500051.colourful-holi-festival-returns-to-swindon-next-week/

By way of something interesting about football and the Asian community.... there's always been a sort of assumption that our Asian community cannot produce footballers, for a variety of reasons, a bit like some 60's 70's assumptions on black players.  With that in mind it is interesting to see Sarpreet Singh rock up at Bayern.... a Kiwi, but looks handy.
