Markus is on a proper slow rise but fair play to him.

He joins Dean Ashton by being born in Swindon but let down by our rubbish scouting network.

Great achievement.

I have a confession to make. I never hated Cureton. He just lost form at the crucial time.
Unlike Thorpe, who was not unlike Richards is now.

He never 'lost form' he just stopped playing for us once he realised he had a get out clause in his contract if we were relegated,  and boy, didn't he make sure he could use it,   Yeovil away will always stick in my mind.

In my more tribal days, I remember hating the fact we were signing Christian Roberts, Jamie Cureton, Lee Peacock et al

I wasn't offended by Cureton's non-form as he'd hadn't been prolific for a couple of years (hence why he was at Swindon in the first place).

Cureton/Thorpe could have been an amazing forward pairing... alas Town were five years too late.

Poor old Mark Scott had a shit weekend.

On Saturday he lost in the Bostik play off final for Bracknell 3-0 at home to Cheshunt (first home defeat of the season!)

Then yesterday playing as an emergency keeper for Wealdstone in the National League Southern playoffs lost 3-2 to Woking after being 2-0 up with 14 minutes to play.
