Their math's is abysmal even if you take off the c.£350k they paid us for this 20% of the residual is well over £1m??

The BTL is delightfully predictable.

930k on the initial 5 million. 1.33 on the 7 million.

Either way not a bad result.

Money for nothing for Swindon.

I'll be in the minority here but I wish Flint all the best. Yes he was/is a cock, that was evident when I played against him in my youth (before he was a pro) at Pinxton. But he was a decent player then and I wasn't surprised when he became a pro. Made it more interesting that we gave him his first pro contract. Don't be fooled that he owes Town anything, if we hadn't signed him up, there were plenty sniffing around locally. It was more chance that Laurie Wilson played for Alfreton at the time (Danny Wilson's son) and that led to a spark of interest. The rest is history.

Yep he's been a cock to us and maybe he'll look back i time and think he could've said things differently. Young and immature are two common couplings in football.

In some ways this is kind of an indirect way of saying thanks, c£1m at L2 level (regardless of where it's spent) is a lovely bit of money/business.

Cheers Aden.

* On a side note, I thought he'd have taken an offer at a Prem club, he's always had a desire to play for Man Utd (that may not happen) but I think Burnley may have been in the chase for him, which would've given some great exposure at European level. I guess he's cashed in (wages wise) now as Middlesborough will be really going for automatic this season.

Ramble done, signing off.

This is interesting....

Paul Benson has now signed permantly for Bedford Town after scoring 8 goals in 13 games last season on loan from Boreham Wood. He's also helping out on the management side (presumably coaching)

Harry Smith looks like signing for Vale. They’ve made some good signings.

They needed to, having flirted with doing a Chesterfield.
