Ritchie scored for Newcastle tonight. Also the worst refereeing display I've ever seen

The guy is consistently getting involved in pretty serious, horrible stuff.

If he was still living in some dodgy estate in London, there would be some credence in the argument that it was his surroundings that was the issue.

The guy has been paid good money, living what most people would describe as the life of Riley, and been the subject of fans adoration, and still he behaves like a cunt.

Unfortunately, there's a few people on this site who think it's not a crime if it's committed against a woman

So of course............he deserves another chance

I'm curious about this too. I'm a committed feminist, and I've not heard anything to kick off about. And you know we love that.

The thing I don't understand about Ranger is how controlled he is on the pitch for someone who has such problems off it.

I don't just mean he's not a hothead; he actually has an abnormally low reaction point.  I remember a couple of games for Swindon just after he joined where one of the opposition had clearly been delegated the task of provoking him and he let go incidents that the average 'model professional' would have reacted to.

And yes I also don't recognise the reference to people on here condoning assaults on women.

There have been some topics in the past where it has been suggested that a person/people might be innocent of a crime (against women) that they've been accused of.

Maybe that's what his confused mind is referring to? If not, then I don't have a clue.

His name came up a few day/weeks ago on here, Moses Ashikodi, walked off the pitch during the game at the weekend for Chatham after an argument with a team mate.

I count 28 clubs, and he's still only 29.

He was another really highly rated as a youngster at West Ham and the 'Wall but has a serious attitude problem which stopped him being even a good level standard player. I fear Nile's career could go the same way if the spell at Southend doesn't work out.

If Ranger gets it together and keeps it together for the next 12 months I can see him in the Championship in January 2018.
He's class and I'd take him back in a heartbeat.

Even if he hits a rich vein of form at Southend this season I can't see any Championship side willing to take the risk on him as Southend have done.

Hes a good player on the pitch at this level, thats never in doubt, but hes a trainwreck waiting to happen off it, too much of a risk for teams in a higher league IMO.

He would need 3 years being out of trouble and away from controversy for any club higher than this league to take that gamble on him, and in 3 years he will 28, it could have been so different for him.
