Specifically storey, it's seems like they have given up and said they can't develop him

Maybe he's just not good enough?

He has been given plenty of chances and has proven he is not fit for purpose at League 1 level - get rid in January.

Maybe not, but not sure he's ever really had a real good crack at it, definitely a decent option of the bench

How many different managers have been unconvinced by him though both ours and the likes of Pompey and Newport. Outside the top 3 or 4 in the SPL it's below league 1 standard. Owain Fon-Williams being a case in point, relegated from the football league for Tranmere last season and now first choice at ICT.
I watched a bit of the game early and apart from the goal Storey looked very lost at times and doesn't really defend from the front. If he doesn't score he ends up just looking like a passenger which is why I think we've given up.

It's funny that out model is based around developing young players into first team players and for future sale but that we can't do it with one of our own.

We poached him off west brom at 17

People assume that Storey would want to play for Swindon. I imagine both sides want this relationship to end.

Despite promise it didn't work out, such is life.

...and Inverness Caley Thistle are a who's who of L2 level players. The SPL is an unbalanced mess.

Storey isn't good enough but that said I think that about a few of the players gettting games here currently.
The Thompson's are definitely not the norm too. Most lads that come through from the youths get a year or two with minimal games under their belts, get released then end up in the Hellenic or southern league.

That wasn't my point (ICT does have a group of L2 standard Englishmen and the division is an unbalanced mess). However, he is somewhere else because he wasn't good enough at Swindon.

Not seen it but that's typical given I told the armchair Liverpool fan at work that he'd struggle to cross the road.
