I was down in Newbury over xmas, back page of the local paper was Alan O'Brien coming off the bench and scoring a late winner for Hungerford.
I assume it just consisted of him running the ball into an empty net, really quickly with no need to kick it.

I was going to post that. You always have to take these things with a pinch of salt and consider there's 2 sides to every story, but it's hard to imagine how that could have any basis in fact and still him not be a massive wanker?

Jack Stephens came on at right back 6 minutes into Saints defeat at Everton. Guess that would dispel any rumour of him returning to SN1

Seeing as we have no new players (yet) to talk about, which ex-player would choose right now.

Shaun Taylor for me - epitomises everything we are missing

Wilf Dixon in midfield would be interesting with animal on the wing.

No Parkin?

I was going to have a go at an XI as well but in the time I've been watching I can hardly think of a decent back four.

Nijholt.

Not necessarily a player that would make the best XI, but certainly a player we could do with now.

Tbh as well as Cox and Austin, I'd put Shearer, Fjortoft, Quinn, and Bamber ahead of Parkin.. Probably because I didn't see that much of him, as he played when my daughter was very young so I couldn't go much.

I really fucking hated bullock. I may be alone here but I thought he was just a useless obnoxious cunt like an earlier version of gurney
