For a completely right footed player, I think the two best things Danny Invincibile did for us were with his left - the cross for the second goal there, and his Peterborough goal.

My favourite goal of the ex, was when Alan Navarro turned out for us in an early season LC game having signed from BHA.  Navarro had previously scored something like 10 career goals in 270 appearances. Scored a brace  Smiley

He was like Messi that night. Shame he was crap from thereonafter, didnt help he was played out of position mind

He was quality away at Pompey. One of those games where we should have won about 8-0 yet somehow only scraped a 2-1 win.

We did give Portsmouth a tonking later that season of course. Good ol' James Collins.

Matt Ritchie interviewed on the BBC here http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/p043ds4l (roughly 5.40 in) only really linking as he has the most irritating habit o saying erm at the start of every sentence and once you notice it its all you can concentrate on!

FWIW think he will be a bloody good signing for Newcastle and should do well up there!

If he stays fit then he will be great at that level. I did hear on the grapevine that FGR's playing budget this season is almost double what ours is expected to be.

Think it's common knowledge they have a bigger budget than most of L1 & 2

That's them fucked then as that breaks Reg's French player rule. I can see Cooper fucking up there as still don't think he's a decent manager in the slightest, wonder who he will blame when it all goes wrong as it's never his fault....

I had a look on their forum earlier.

Cooper's already been blaming players after a poor pre-season. The FGR fans are welcoming it as a refreshing sign of honesty.....

I supported him when he was our manager but never took to him at all and his blame game is the worst type of management when often it was his tactics/player selection that was wrong.

You do know that, for all his gnomic pronouncements, Reg isn't always right?  Eek

Cooper at least has a fair bit of experience of non league as manager and player, and probably has the biggest budget in that league, which of course means he needs a good start otherwise he'll be gone pdq.

Indeed, the FGR chairman is not known for having much patience with his managers.

Everton winger Conor Grant has just joined Ipswich on loan. He is the nephew of former Town-loanee Tony Grant. Which has made me feel old.
