Looking like Alan Mac will be new youth team boss. Be good to see likes of Will Henry Tom Smith, Jordan Young and Jake Evans and other ex and present youth teamers given real chance of run in the first team this season. Under Luke Williams looks like they might just get more of look in.

The Chinese have said they want to become the number one global football power, and are prepared to spend to achieve it.

I'm inclined to think with the economic turmoil caused by Brexit, the Prem might be slipping from its perch over the next few years....

The Chinese want to be the global no. 1 everything.

Absolutely no chance. The chinese can keep throwing their money at players that arent at the top level, if they are giving players like pelle and kanu top dollar like that imagine what it will cost to get a proper up coming world class talent. the chinese league will always be the chinese league. something that no one will have dreams to play in when coming through the football ranks

Where have you heard this? Great news if true...

Paul Crichton appointed GK coach at STFC today as well. Played 4 games on loan for Town in 1987.

Me too. Up at the back to the left of the goal, which was my normal position on the Stratton Bank too!

There was, there must have been 3,000 Town fans in a crowd of just under 9,000 that was the game when Jon Gittens played most of the game with his head bandaged and suffering from concussion, probably his best game he ever played for the Town!

This brings Calderwood to mind a few years later vs Cambridge in the cup.
Also played most of the game with concussion and managed to score as well.
