I'm guessing Sheffield Wednesday weren't interested then. Despite a number of people moaning about his release or not getting a chance it would appear he just wasn't good enough...
The reason I moaned about it is that he is the same age as my lad and was in the youth cricket team that I coached. I hoped that he would make it as a pro. Disappointing when you hear bad news about someone you know, especially as, given the back end of the year before, it looked as if he was on the verge of a breakthrough season last year.

Bit surprised he's not turned up at Forest Green though.

It's not like he's had time on the pitch to show if he's good enough or not is it ?
He was judged not good enough based on training it would seem.

Nathan Thompson would probably have been released if he was a young pro at the current time at the club. He didn't feature much for a significant amount of time.

Not good enough at the present time!!  We have just signed that guy from Woking who was released from a pro club, developed and now back in the league.  Of course we never know if there is an attitude problem with young players - that holds them back.

Really?

Nah, I'd rather be in the Premier League with a dodgy owner than watching non league football, personally.

Completely get you - it's just not for me.

Have we definitely NOT got a sell-on for Flint?

Looks like he's off.
