He did miss a number if games for "personal reasons", is it possible that also had an impact on him not being offered a new contract.

As Bob said he did come on and change games a couple of times, particularly Peterborough away, although I think that was partly because it freed up Doughty to play a more attacking role

A bit of both for sure, not much got passed him and his distribution was good.

One of those where I'm not sorry to see him go and wouldn't have been disappointed had he stayed.

Agreed, he showed flashes of having ability.

I guess the laughing gas bollocks was maybe something that tipped the balance

One things for sure, he was nowhere near Div 3 level.

Anyone who attended away games such as Shrewsbury and Peterborough is likely to strongly disagree with this comment. Right, he wasn't much use at home, when we spent about 80% of the time chasing games. But when we got a goal in front and needed someone off the bench to calm things down, put a foot on the ball and do the basics right, he was ideal.

That's 1-0 to Northampton then. Our first result of the season!

Shame he and Luke had a falling out, the type of player we need at the back
