Wouldn't mind Billy Paynter back, underrated striker. It's no coincidence that he was the 2nd striker when our two most recent prolific strikers were at the club.

Bodin, he's a funny one. Looked great sometimes, then less than average others.

Tozer was meant to be the next big thing.... never really worked out...

Paynter was decent here, but struggled since... and TAH, well.... I think he has issues.

Really? Those two most recent prolific strikers have gone on to find success without Paynter at a much higher level, and Billy has gone on to sitting on a variety of very large contracts with Northern clubs and done very little to justify them. He did a good job for us and I like the guy for that, but his career since has been dreadful.

I think he just fitted in the mould of the team(s) we had back then... I'm not so sure he'd fit our current regime.

He's far too old, for a start..

Fewer, it's fewer. I expect better from a forensic psychologist. Attention to detail and all that...

Whoops, I do apologise. Just as well I haven't qualified yet. I'll be annihilated for that sort of thing in prison!  Cheesy

Pah, just to raise DV from the dead Paynter was only good for 12 moths of the 3 year deal we gave him. And that was the last year before his contract expired.

He did seem to fly away a bit after that.

Doh, though it explains why he was never good under the floodlights.

Incredible to think he's only scored 17 (or so) goals since he left us..

Barry Corr heavily rumoured to join Yeovil in the summer down here, out of contract at Saarfend but could be offered a new contract if they get promotion but probably not offered a new one if they don't.
