Whitbread was fairly decent, although he did have to fill some big old boots...

A sorry story, which kind of sums up the vagaries of being a lower league footballer.

Can a club of our size pay a player for doing nothing for a year?

The truth hurts..... Shame...

Troy will love it in Carlisle. Lots of leopard skin and smudged lipstick at 7am round the streets.

Not really connected, but I did like the story on the cricket today where Shane Warne was talking to Bumble about when he was playing for Accrington in the Lancs League, 91.  Warne who is known for liking a lady or two, reckoned that Sunday night in Accrington was the best he's ever had. He'd consulted Saker the England bowling coach, about whether it was worth going back now....he was advised against.

James Collins scored 2 for Shrewsbury today.
Kaid Mohamed scored for Northampton.
Barry Corr missed a penalty for Southend.
Darius Henderson scored for Orient.
Alan Sheehan scored for Bradford.
David Ball scored for Fleetwood.
Giles Coke scored for Sheff Wednesday.
Sean Morrison scored for Reading (and Simon Cox made his debut as a sub).
