Going by Wiki, it was announced in May that his contract would be extended. So something's happened between now and then. He'd been sent to play with the yoofs previously after a fall out with Lambert, so maybe there's been another falling out?

Lets hope he wants a fresh start in an area of the country he's familiar with and in a league where he's banged in a fair few goals. |
