Sympathy? Fuck off.

He had life laid on a fucking platter and fucked it up through arrogance.
And you know that on the basis of one tweet? OK

Indeed. If anything, some degree of sympathy that a promising career didn't work out as hoped might be a more humane response than the great delight in schadenfreude (pretty confident I've not spelled that right)

You have. Do we get to mock your misplaced confidence in your inability to spell compound nouns of German origin?

Crack on. Surely I must have missed off an umlaut or something?

youngsters being arrogant tits isn't anything new.

I'm sure he's learnt that
Definately, but they also have to realise that they just can't go on social media being a dick without there being repercussions, especially when they are in the public eye playing for one of the biggest clubs in the world belittling others in the same profession. That smacks of arrogance.

Not even. If I was being really picky, I could insist that German nouns start with a capital, but since it's an appropriation into English I don't think we can even get you on that.

No, it's only your utter confidence in your imagined lack of linguistic talent that we get to savour.

It does, but just not sure it merits the "Ha ha ha you fucked up your career" responses.

No, not just one tweet. He later turned down EFL clubs because he thought he could do better and ended up out of football for 5 months. He's never played in the league again since.

By the way, schadenfreude in English is "epicaricacy".

A bad career choice that was based on him thinking he is better than he is.

As Reg might say, it shows a pattern. Little indicators.

Your problem is that your career was already over when you tweeted unwisely Smiley

He scored an absolutely fantastic goal for City against Liverpool in a youth team game in 2011, a young kid called Sterling scored for Liverpool. If proof was ever needed of the harsh reality of football as a career, that is it. We’ll never know how his career would have panned out if he’d stayed at Town for another year or two but it couldn’t have been any worse, surely

That article is just a really sad read, it went wrong at Ipswich as he fell out with McCarthy as they had different ideas, I am no fan of McCarthy but if you are a kid in your early 20's who has played fuck all games and is prepared to fuck up your career as you think you know better than a manager who has managed 100's of games and internationally you are some sort of numbnuts!
