I would still have him back though!

A few rumours that apparently we are close to signing Lloyd Isgrove - a winger I think.

Even somebody on their forum thinks he's been advised poorly by his agent.

I imagine we offered him more than Bolton are allowed to.

Isgrove and Woolery both seem badly advised, but its their careers at stake.

I can't help thinking that Isgrove decided he was going to leave and Bolton was the highest placed club that were genuinely interested in him.

Twine vs Doyle, Delfouneso and Isgrove today.

Ridehalgh, Woolery, Banks and Nelson up against Knoyle, May and Mullin too.

Woolery and Isgrove on the bench - Doyle up front for Bolton and made captain

I see Yates is impressing the Blackpool fans:

Those two clowns at centre half. Dearie me. We could have Heneghan and Husband. And get Madine on for Jerry “Barndoor” Yates

What's Yates obsession with not shooting?

Lubala is miles away and Yates isn't good enough, suppose that what happens when you sign from league 2

Get Jerry Yates off.

Even this early on, I wouldn't rule out one of Yates or Doyle returning at some point this season.

Tbf I had a nose at the Blackpool forum and a lot of them had positive things to say too. Especially about his work rate!

Does seem that Wellens style produces goals. I know we drew a blank against Blackpool (I think if we'd capatilised on early pressure we would have got 2 or 3) but 7 goals and a hatful of chances speaks volumes.

0 goals in 5 games for Doyle and Yates may also speak volumes. Early days though and they're both good enough to score a lot. Think they'd already have a couple each if they were in red.

Won't ever blame Eoin for taking 3 years and being closer to home but I do wonder if there's a tinge of regret there....

Agree that it is ridiculously early to start drawing conclusions.

Reading squirming comments from Bolton fans is quite something though. Feel for them in many ways but then I remember '95 and the 7-0 a couple of years later... making Mac cry like that. Shameful.

Has to be. He knows he did the right thing for his family but in football terms there must be a big regret there...a great shame.

It must be down to Boltons style of play as you don't just lose the preditory instinct that he has and maybe he will get more chances once Isgrove gets into his rhythm
