I watched the first half only but thought Brighton looked a decent side. You were right about Newcastle though, absolutely woeful.

I had cash on Alzate to score at any time, was gutted when his header was (rightly) ruled out for offside. Personally I thought he looked good. Was playing in a much more advanced role and actually looked more dangerous than Maupay. He should go on to have a decent career.

Brighton have won something like 3 Prem games of 24 in 2019.  No doubt SA has ability with the ball, but at some point you have to influence a game and help create a win. That isn't easy, it isn't easy in Div 4, and even harder in the Prem.

However, we're talking top players here, and it is perfectly possible to have a very decent career without actually ever doing much.  The above mentioned Kevin Stewart being a type.... now 26 made 55 starts, and has an 8 mill move in the bank. Presumably a year or so left at Hull on Prem wages

How Moore is anywhere near anyones 1st team is beyond me, shocking goalkeeper only marginally better than RCC.

Saw Moore play at Cambridge last season and it looked like they'd just dragged some bloke out of the crowd. Our worst ever keeper IMO...

Looks like Peter Downsborough is no longer with us. The 1969ers gain their keeper up there

What a fitting accolade to ‘69 legend. Hopefully the remaining players can make it to help give him a fitting send off.

RIP Peter, never saw you play for Town but met you a couple of times, a proper Yorkshire gentleman.

Funnily enough I was speaking to his nephew a few weeks back on FB and he said he wasn't in the best of health but was still hanging on in there.

Has to be classed as one of THE greats for Swindon Town.

Peter was a proper Yorkie use to keep pigeons.... he played over 200 games for Bradford City after us so a fitting applause would work on Sat.  He woud have been one of the last generation of keepers not to wear gloves.

The Bradford fans are saying they are hoping the club will have a minutes applause for Saturdays game as many fans say he is the best keeper they ever saw in a Bradford shirt, much as many fans say the same thing about him at Swindon.

That write up from Halifax is brilliant, I hope our club can write a similar message for a man who is certainly one of the greats in STFC history.
