Football fans feel they can say what they like to players and managers alike. Some of them must have really shit lives if they go to football to shout abuse at managers/players who they are meant to support. I am with Wellens on this - for fucks sake get behind the team and stop moaning about every misplaced pass or missed tackle. The level of negativity even at the pre season friendly against Coventry on Saturday was staggering. It's as though a proportion of our fan base just attend to vent their frustration built up over the last week. 95% of the time I enjoy the game win/lose or draw - after all it's the whole experience of watching with family or friends. |

Likewise. I'm not particularly fussed if we win, lose or draw, it is being there that is the most important thing for me. Having to listen to a shed load of bollocks from the miserable brigade every week is far worse than watching a duff performance. I've given up trying to fathom it out. I just accept that some individuals love paying money to be a negative cunt and don't give a shit whether their views are validated or criticised by those in earshot. At least they've made the effort to be there, I suppose. |
