Ribery isn't in the same class as Ronaldo

No your right, Ribery performs in the big games

But Ribery is a Bayern Munich player, so doesn't play in big games.

I'd rather have a Steven Gerrard in my team than a Ronaldo.
So over rated.

how is he over rated? he scores more than Gerrard, quicker, more skillful, better at set pieces and better in the air, Gerrard is better in the tackle, thats all id say

Gerrard is tougher in the head

Lets test that by getting them to stand still while Remi Gulluird or whatever his name is kicks stuff at them.

How can you say he's not over rated?
He'd fall over if fucking Zippy or Bungle tackled him.
Yes, he can do a few step overs, and scores a few goals, but I would still choose Gerrard over Ronaldo.
He can't play in big games, and is a stroppy, cheating cunt.
He's also shit at penalties.

why are people saying this is good business? so u get the £80m yet there is a player on the planet u can get who can come close to replacing him, if Ronaldo didnt want to leave im confident Utd would turn down this bid

Its good business because yes they lose a fantastic player but if they replace him with 3 great players then they will become a better team for it and will not have to rely on one outstanding talent as they did the season before this, will probably mean that Rooney will play up front more as well.

When United got rid of Cantona, Stam, Keane Van Nistelrooy and Beckham people said what on earth were they doing and they would struggle the next year but Fergie found players just as good and United came back just as strong.

Ferguson usually knows when to let someone move on - don't seem to be fighting so hard to keep him this year do they ?

Its a fair point Nev the United team were not as reliant on him last season as the season before and I think Fergie realises this will be the last season they could get an amount as high as this for him.  If he was to go out sign Valencia, Benzema and Ribery now that would be amazing business.
