I remember my parents going to a Sid Lawrence Orchetra concert there.

Good bowler, he was.  Shame about the injury.

I notice a picture from the Kevin Morris match vs. Chelsea.

Anyone know the line-ups for that match?

Me dad had a season ticket from Day 1 of the old Shriv stand - they bought it from the Aldershot Tattoo showground if memory serves.

Was there a reason we had multi coloured seats in the Arkells stand when it was first built?

They were in coloured sections, so you bought say a green band seat or a blue band seat....not sure if there was a price difference as I never went in there for a good 15 odd years after it opened. My first visit, around 86  was with the preganant missus, as standing in the TE or South Side didn't seem such a good idea.

Yes they were slightly different prices. Middle ones were the prime prices.

Makes sense...thought it may have been the case.

The story was that Man U donated a load of their old red plastic seats to us a few years ago, don't know if this is true or not ?

You're probably thinking of the padded jobs in the directors section...they did come from ManUre, whether donated or not, don't know.

Slightly off topic, but didn't we aquire so bins etc from Wembley before it was knocked down. I seem to recall seeing some in the DRS concourse (not the hidden one!) and scrolling wall boards somewhere.

I heard that some (over 1,000) red seats were bought from Middlesborough's Ayresome Park when it was demolished.
