Once Simon Cox leaves Swindon it's irrelevant to me how well he does - sure, it's nice to see them do well but if it's not in a Town shirt, meh  I recall Ruper Lowe whinging about bigger clubs poaching young talent RE: Theo Walcott - even Southampton fans said "didn't we take this kid from Swindon?" There are good football owners out there - they tend to be the ones who don't whine to the national media. The fact is, even without a major bidding war, Fitton got what he wanted for a Cox bid to be accepted. |
