Dame Diana Rigg aged 82. She looked good in black in The Advengers.

Indeed she did, a great actress.  Was slightly wonderful seeing her play Veronica in Detectorists....

I’m not shocked, use to come in regularly to a pub I ran a few years ago. You would not have known it was him. Liked to keep his throat wet

That's sad. RIP.

Saw Toots & the Maytals in 2016 just after they started touring again following recovery from his head injury.

I event managed the slam dunk festival a few years ago and day before the festival we had a seperate gig with the specials supported by toots.  Very lovely.  Predictably Jamaican on timings but excellent turn and very, erm, chilled crew.

I first saw Toots and the Maytals in around 75, in common with a lot of gigs from those 70's years, I just remember a great night with a great band..... no detail whatsoever.

Such a shame about Toots, I was lucky enough to have met hm backstage at Boomtown 10 years ago when the band I was managing were supporting him.

He drove up in a huge converted tour bus with blacked out windows and a side sliding door....the door opened and it was like a scene from "Stars In Their Eyes" with the plumes of smoke pouring out from it and then 5 young women all scantily clad and yes the smoke was from the metric shit ton of weed they were smoking on the way.

He then appears from the doorway in just a pair of tight leather trousers and a sequinned waistcoat and speaking to everyone in burbled low tones and putting the word man on the end of each sentence.

Slightly confused by his surroundings but enjoying every minute of it, followed out of the tour bus by Chris Evans and 2 cameramen who were filming him for a documentary, Chris Evans not being so polite.

Frederick Nathaniel "Toots" Hibbert will be sadly missed, I am gald I managed to see him perform at very close quarters and to have met the legend of Ska music. RIP man.

Toots and the Maytals along with Brian Wilson are the only two acts I have seen that the music was so good they made me cry without realising.

RIP
