Cheap beer. Happy days. Not so good with that period coinciding with Headington United's rise through the divisions.

The much under rated Bristol based comedian Ian Cognito who died on stage in Bicester last night in the middle of his UK tour, a very funny man RIP Cogs.

Yeah just saw that.  Very good and as you say much under rated.  I seem to remember his stuff from a cassette given away with select or one of those magazines that were trying to make comedy the new rock n roll.

I remember the Lisbon Lions of 67.... could still probably name the XI.  In those days there was a massive mistrust of continental outfits, sides like Inter, might have their Cattenachio, and "technical ability", but it was assumed their shirt pulling diving etc would be found wanting by British manly virtue... they wouldn't like it up em.  Burnley did a pretty decent job last night at Chelsea of showing the approach is not yet lost.

Billy though a great player will be remembered by some for relegating both Villa and Man City if the same season as gaffer.
