Didn't he do well!

RIP Brucie.

Grew up with The Generation Game in the 70's.

Remember Brucie from the 50's and Sunday Night at the London Palladium.... in 50's austerity post war Britain, this was something of treat. A bit of glamour, the Tiller Girls got the juvenile juices going.  Not quite the Moulin Rouge, but we're British.

Brucie was great for many reasons, but I'll always remember his appearance on HIGNFY and "play your Iraqi cards right". A great piece of television satire - "you have a pair, but you don't get anything for a pair not in this game" and "WMD it would be nice to see them to see them nice"

Sad when anyone dies but I don't understand people calling him a legend at all. He was just annoying.

Don't think it's so much the bloke himself as the nostalgia/passing of an era. I was a little kid when the Generation Game was in it's heyday, and the likes of Bruce Forsyth dominated Saturday night telly. So while I personally found him a bit (well a lot) cheesy, and even a bit creepy at times, I can understand the nostalgia around his passing.

He's somewhat of an icon of a bygone era of Saturday evening television. It's sad news.

To you maybe. To me (and others) it's quite a good thing it's a bygone era.

I'm not sure what you're accusing me of.

People are free to think whatever the fuck they want, I'm just saying that I can see why some find it sad news.

I'm not accusing you of anything, you knows I loves you. Just that "it's sad news" is largely a matter of opinion rather than fact. People are indeed free to feel however they want about it.
