He didnt do resting or peace well.  I was about to start properly advancing the tour for the end of January where we were going to be taking out the 'Bomber' lighting rig again.  I first worked their tour in 2004 and had been doing so regularly since.

Its hardly a surprise.  But as Ive said on FB, he was the original.  Anything you've done that you think was rock n roll, Lemmy had already done.

Rest in peace Lem.

The term legend is over used, but he really deserved it.

RIP Lemmy

Genuinely gutted to see Pavel's passing, was their goalkeeper in the years I lived up there and as a former goal keeper was the player I always admired in the years I was there.

The supporters loved him and he admired them...

Not a Newcastle supporter bar time living up there but 47 is no age and too close to home for me RIP Pavel... Pavel will always be a Geordie.

Bloody hell, today has been worse than the Red Wedding

At least there has been Mike Tyson falling off his daughter's 'hover board' to cheer us up

Until I logged onto social media this morning I never realised just how popular Lemmy and Motorhead were with the middle classes, some of the garbage which has been posted by people I suspect have never listened to any music let alone Motorhead has been peculiar although once again I suspect its the curse of people feeling the need to say something on Facebook as everyone else was doing so.

you don't have to listen to, or even like motorhead to appreciate their influence/importance.

I remember seeing them at Goldiggers in Chippenham.
Was so loud you could feel the music better than you could hear it Smiley

It's the 'Diana' effect whereby in death people become way, way, way more popular/clever/funny/inspirational/caring/talented etc than they ever were in life.

Nothing against Lemmy btw, I have no views on him one way or the other, it just seems to be human nature.

True that. Happens with every death that's in the public eye (and ones that aren't, for that matter)

Hope if I die early everyone calls me a dickhead, just to make a change from being "a bright character" who was "loved by everyone"
