So you never hold a negative opinion of stars or celebs etc that you don't know then? Let's say Katie Hopkins, for example?

I don't think death is seen as a boundary by Fh. Correct me if I misread it.

I don't see why one's opinion of a person should change just because they die.

I don't really hold much of an opinion of Peaches Geldoff really. I've only seen bits and bobs about her on the internet and whatever. The whole "She's dead, you can't say that now" thing doesn;t make sense to me.

Jesse Winchester was reported as dead earlier but is apparently only "gravely ill". I'm not a massive fan but I discovered him through The Wire and 'Let The Rough Side Drag' is a cracking album...

I just think it's about having a bit of respect. We all have people in the celebrity circles who we might be irritated by, never met them,  never directly affected us. If someone fits into that criteria for you personally why would you feel the need to slate them, especially when they are no longer around to respond?  If you're happy to keep slating people who have died then you're certainly entitled to your opinion,  I personally think it's something that isn't necessary to share on a forum. (but that's my opinion)

Yes its about respect, I don't think its going to cause too much of an issue posting opinion on the TEF, but in my opinion it would be bad form  to post on say Twitter which is much more an open shop in terms of who can see it.

Then just what do you base your opinion of her as being vapid and useless on?

As for Kate Hopkins, I don't even know who she is.

Bang on Batch.

If i thought for one minute that Peaches' family or friends would visit the TEF then I would not consider saying a bad word and may even have edited/deleted Honkytonk's post.

As it stands though stating such an opinion on the TEF doesn't make the slightest difference. There is no need whatsoever for anybody to get upset.

Not much. I could well be wrong.

Why does it matter?

If it doesn't matter, which it doesn't, why bother posting it?

Just seems a tasteless comment, that's all - whether any family or friends are likely to read it or not.

It was posted because this is a forum where people post their opinions and what not and the opinion stated is relevant to the thread. It's a thread about dead people.

I was actually asking you why it mattered to you so much? Posting such an opinion on this particular forum won't make the slightest bit of difference to anybody. Not even a little bit. So why get bothered by it?

Mickey Rooney died today, film industry mainstay since the mid-1920's... and the last of the major players from It's a Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad World.

...and I don't think his role in Breakfast at Tiffany's would be... embraced in 2014.

So long.
