RIP Egon

Just noticed that Ghostbusters is 30 years old this year. That makes me feel old.

And he co-wrote both Stripes and Ghostbusters.

Sad  RIP Egon. Loved that film, saw it as a 14 year old at the cinema. Good characters, complimented by the right actors for the roles.

Actor Philip Seymour Hoffman died of an accidental overdose of a mixture of drugs including heroin, cocaine, amphetamine, and benzodiazepine, officials have said.

Isn't that a bit like an 'accidental' death from playing with loaded weapons?

"Oh no, I appear to have slipped onto these needles and whilst crying out in surprise swallowed all these pills that I left lying around, silly me. I am a klutz!"

I presume the 'accidental' part is basically saying 'this wasn't suicide, he was just greedy.'

Bad week for the old school socialists of London.  First Bob Crow, and now Tony Benn.  I would imagine Ken Livingstone is absolutely shitting it right now.

This'll make Levi & Reg choke on their Hovis. I actually admired the bloke, didn't agree with his political leanings but a man of conviction who it appeared never waivered from his beliefs.

Still, the tobacco industries loss is the champagne industries gain.
