Ever since I got stung by Flash Forward I don't tend to watch shows until they're finished/established.
Ha, my missus has never forgiven NBC for that.

I hate the "Let's preview next week's episode" on some shows.

No, LET'S FUCKING NOT! They do so without warning as well.

I'm not fishing. Season 4, episode 3 watched last night. Ever since I got stung by Flash Forward I don't tend to watch shows until they're finished/established.

And yes I have successfully avoided spoilers. No doubt I probably heard some before I started watching the show, but with no frame of reference you quickly forget... until you start watching the show and get to know the characters.

Completely agree. What's worse is some channels even show you what's going on currently, or about to happen, during ad breaks of other shows. Sky and channel 4 are fuckers for this, and it's a fucker when you're several series' behind.

Christ, I hadn't heard of that in years... what happened in the end? Or didn't it?

It wasn't even one season was it? Didn't it get canned after something like 7/8 episodes of what should have been a 13-episode 1st series? The missus would know, I'd ask her, but I don't want to revive the trauma. She's still bitter about it.

Reminds me a little of BBC's This Life, the end of series two set everything up nicely for three then they binned it leaving all the unanswered questions hanging in the air.

sort of, they made it clear that all moved out didn't they?

plus there was This Life +20 that wasn't great but kind of showed where they ended up in life.

Ah that reminds me of 'Space: Above and Beyond' which was a super shitty sci-fi series I loved, would've been 98/99ish (google says 1995/96, Jesus Crying) maybe, another series that was one-and-done, the finale left key characters in utterly fucked situations and that was that. I was gutted, hehe!

American Gothic, mid to late 90's. One series and they pulled the plug. The bastards...
