So he'll be a black horse local before you know it, strictly orange juice though eh?  They still got the snooker tables in the back?

No, he'll be in the White Horse (the Black Horse is for Cherhillites) - sadly they got rid of the Snooker tables some years back and converted into B&B accommodation... which will be handy for the groupies

Wash my mouth out!!  Of course it's the White Horse!!  You lot still have your boxing day football match on that farmers field or has that long gone?  I once scored an own goal in that match!

Shame the snooker tables went, used to love going up there, nice tables.

Used to be really good - a lot of things have changed though - the boxing day football match is no more either.

I used to drink in the pub on a Sunday, long before I moved into the village, trying to cure hangovers from nights out in Bath.  Used to enjoy watching the snooker being played on the CCTV monitors behind the bar.  I always thought it would be nice to live in a village like that but never thought I would...

The pub went through a bit of a mare during the last 5 years but has come out the other side now and is back to being a freehold so they have a good selection of beers now including Hoegaarden and Leffe

We went there for some food a year ago (ish) food was nice but last orders (drinks wise) meant last orders.  My old man asked for a quick nip whilst we waited for my bro's mrs to pick us up and they said no chance, even though we'd just spent a couple of hundred quid in their restaurant, not the most friendly landlord/lady I'd ever come across.

It is a nice pub though, going back for Sunday roast next week, can't wait!

In fairness they've had a rough time of it - the guy that they had the lease with is the guy that is selling the house to Robbie and was putting some pressure on them rent wise.

To cut a long story short one of the other land owners in the village bought the pub off of him and put it in trust to ensure that it remained as a pub and was not redeveloped into housing.

I think if you went back you would notice a difference...

So JFW. When there is someone dressed as Santa on 20th or 28th forking the pitch what are you going to do?
