As noted on here before, Vic Chandler seem to cut their odds everytime someone puts a fiver on any candidate.

its means nothing other than people have been betting on him.

VC have Calderwood as even money on being the next Championship manager to leave his job, which are very short odds especially when compared to the lowest price in the Premiership - Ince at 2/1 who is a dead man walking at the moment.

I'm tempted to put some money on George Graham for the Swindon job, at 20/1 it looks a good price. I haven't heard much about him and management recently, but he was desperate for a job the last I heard. Always felt some sympathy for him as well, after his ban from football no one gave him another chance. In the grand scheme of things what he did wasn't that bad, plenty have done a lot worse and been welcomed back with open arms.

Anyone heard anything about him recently?

I'd never even heard of Victor Chandler before Malpas had gone (clearly I'm not a betting man).

I'm still not getting the link.

How does "dead man walking" have any connotations regarding race?

It just means someone who is about to get the sack.

He's having a go at the native Americans now.

Stereotyping is a form of racism in this context.

I thought it was a little joke that prison guards used to share with the inmates when someone was on their way to execution. You've got to lighten the mood in such an environment. If it turns out that they were simply being dismissed, then what kind of punishment is that?! Death row's like a bloody holiday camp these days.
